The New York Counseling and Clinical Social Work Service, P.C. is a psychoanalytic psychotherapy center that offers professionals with psychoanalytic training and experience to get you the help you need. In operation since 1971, we are New York City's leading low-cost psychotherapy service. A professional state-licensed staff offers individual psychotherapy, marriage and couple counseling, child/adolescent therapy, crisis intervention and group therapy. Professional Help
Our staff consists of experienced, qualified, highly committed New York State licensed social workers with psychoanalytic training. To help determine if you have some of the symptoms or problems that can be treated with psychoanalytic psychotherapy, click on the "SELF SCREEN" button to conduct a self assessment screening.
Budget-Conscious Help
Because we are committed to providing affordable psychotherapy, The New York Counseling and Clinical Social Work Service, P.C. considers the individual financial status of clients when determining fees. Fees are set on a sliding-scale basis and range from $40.00 to $125.00. Our reduced $25.00 fee is made available to individuals who meet certain financial criteria.
Help Day or Night
There is no waiting list and clients are assigned within 48 hours. In addition to weekday appointments, weekend and evening hours are also available. For emergencies that may occur on weekends, evenings and holidays, a clinician who carries a pager can be reached 24 hours a day.
To Get Help
A client can call The New York Counseling and Clinical Social Work Service, P.C. directly at 212-362-1086 to schedule an appointment for an intake interview or the referring professional may make the first contact. If the referring professional is able to provide us with sufficient background material necessary for us to make an assignment to the appropriate therapist, the initial intake interview is not required.
